This course provides a general overview of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. It provides a high-level look at the requirements of the standard and how those requirements drive the design of laboratory quality systems.

Using a combination of lectures and hands-on practice, this course covers the requirements of leading an audit from the planning phase through to closing off the audit.

This workshop will provide participants the opportunity to hone their skills in auditing Microbiology Laboratories. Micro labs include bacteriology, virology, and mycology.

Measurement Uncertainty (MU) has many uses and is an important component of a laboratory’s activities. This course will present the basics for evaluating measurement uncertainty.

This course provides a thorough understanding of method validation for chemical methods, including practical examples of how the performance characteristics can be established. A mock method validation for a simple chemical method is conducted as part of the course exercise.

The Use and Management of Control Charts course builds on the understanding of the theory and principles of control charts, and introduces topics such as control chart program management, control chart signals, application strategies, and using control charts for remedial actions. 

Participants will learn several root cause analysis tools that will allow them to identify and correct the underlying problems.

This workshop includes discussions, case studies, and exercises that will allow you more fully understand the quality role in a laboratory.
