This course covers the skills and knowledge required to lead a successful audit. It builds on the material covered in the CALA Internal Auditor course and concentrates on the role of the Lead Auditor. Using a combination of lectures and hands-on practice, this course covers the requirements of leading an audit from the planning phase through to closing off the audit.
This is a 2-day course that is split over 3 part-days.

If you are moving towards a Lead Auditor role we recommend that you first take the Internal Auditor for ISO/IEC 17025 course. Then put the skills and knowledge to use for a couple of audits. Once you have built up some skills and experience with auditing, move on to the Lead Auditor for ISO/IEC 17025 course. The combination of the Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor courses, together with knowledge of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, gives you the qualifications you need to lead effective audits that support your laboratory's management system.
